Capt. Andriyan Evtimov
Andriyan Evtimov was born on 30th November, 1963 in Rasovo, Bulgaria.
In 1986 graduated Naval Academy “Nikola Vapzarov” in Varna, Bulgaria – specialty “Navigation”.
1986 – 1999 – Sea going experience in company “Navigation Maritime Bulgare”, Bulgaria (NAVIBULGAR) starting as cadet up to Master in command.
1999 – Superintendent and Manager of Safety, Quality and Environment Department in NAVIBULGAR, DPA ashore. Responsible for Safety and Environment control of 72 ships.
2000 – 2001 – Director of Tramp Shipping in NAVIBULGAR, DPA ashore. Chartering and Operation of 55 bulk carriers.
2002 – Harbour Master of Port of Varna, Bulgaria and Director of Maritime Administration, Varna branch. Lecturer in Bulgarian Maritime Training Center on Maritime Conventions and Safety Management Systems.
2003 – to present – Managing Director of “Stargate Maritime” Ltd. “Stargate Maritime” Ltd is Crew Management Company with 400 Bulgarian officers.
2006 – Master degree of Tokai University in Japan – “Global Management and Leadership”.
2006 – Preparing Research “Profile of the Bulgarian Officer of Merchant Marine”
2008 – Developing of apprentice and cadet program for Bulgarian students. Education and training of more than 250 cadets for the period 2008 – 2020.
2008 – 2010 – Chairman of Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping
2000 – present – Member of The Nautical Institute, London . 2011 – 2017 Member of the Council of The Nautical Institute.
2016 – present – International Maritime Organisation Good Will Ambassador
Certified Auditor for ISM, ISPS and ISO standards.
